Photographer's Note
This afternoon, getting back home after three days away at the seaside, passing by the harbour I immediately noticed this Sailing ship. So, soon after unloading the luggage at home, I ran, by foot, to shoot some photos. I arrived just when the sun was setting and I was just in time to take this picture.
The ship is Christian Radich, from Norway.

Oggi, tornando a casa dopo tre giorni trascorsi fuori, nel passare lungo il porto ho subito notato questo veliero. Cosμ dopo aver scaricato il bagaglio a casa, sono corso, a piedi, a scattare qualche foto. Sono arrivato proprio che il sole tramontava e ho fatto appena in tempo a prendere questa.
Il veliero θ la Christian Radich, norvegese.

This is a well balanced composition, with a strong imaginary connection between the ship and the setting sun!
The silhouette adds to the mood, great colour palette and a fine old ship...
I'm sure Emmanuel will appreciate, most likely he has sailed with Christian Radich too!

Ciao Donato. Una magica presa del tramonto con i suoi colori e del'ottimo effetto grafico dato da cime pali e componenti del veliero (scusami ancora l'ignoranza sui termini marinari). Il POV dal basso accentua l'eleganza del Christian Radich e crea un effetto "incombenza" rispetto al POV stesso.
Nel Ws ho tolto un po' di effetto grana dal cielo.

Well Donato, this is very kind of you, since the picture is beautifull with the sunset silhouetting the mast of this full rigger. I greatly appreciate both the picture and the dedication, especially because I sailed with the Radich in 2000: not much sailing, but a nice cruise from Douanenez to Trondheim, through the Irish Sea, the Hebrides, Ocades and Shetlands...

Poi tornando dalla barca, hai visto il veliero. Spero di fotografarlo domattina prima di andarea lavoro. L'ho visto uscendo da Bonaria attraccato nel molo "crocere".
Hottimo scatto con quel cielo terso ed un tramonto ..che passava.

Splendida cattura e magnifico trialbero (caspita norvegese!!), concordo appieno col mio amico e predecessore Giorgio....aggiungo che il cielo θ quello di una giornata meravigliosa, considerando il novembre avanzato (anche qua il w/e θ stato speciale e ho fatto alcuni scatti a una Rimini molto nitida)...grazie dello spettacolo.

Non θ di tutti i giorni vedere questa stupenda fregata norvegese, ex nave scuola, ancorata in un porto italiano. Per essere una "signora" con piω di 70 anni la sua bella figura la fa ancora... Bravissimo a coglierla in controluce in un momento cosμ bello e suggestivo. L'eccellente definizione ci permette di apprezzare tutte le manovre, tanto da poter distinguere anche i colori della bandiera norvegese in punta al bompresso. Foto stupenda, anche per chi, come me , non θ un marinaio. Bravissimo!

bello questo veliero senza vele alzate. Crea un gran bel grafismo.
L'effetto silhouette su sfondo blu scuro che sfuma sul colore arancio θ molto d'effetto.

Interpretazione efficace di questa nave, che se non erro nella realtΰ θ quasi completamente bianca, e che qui appare ormeggiata, se non sbaglio, alla banchina Ichnusa sullo sfondo di un bel tramonto sull'Arcu Mannu.

Its been ages since you posted something new in TE. this is a fine silhouette of the ship, in a diagonal, with the setting sun over the mountains on the right. The grading colours in the sky has come out beautifully!

I've been working up on the North Coast again, so I apologise for my delay in critiquing. This photo is so "Donato-esque". I could think of no one it suits better. The position of the old ship is optimal and its sillhouette against those marvellous soft tones is a master-stroke. My compliments for this extremely atmospheric and romantic photo, I could not ask for better.
