Photographer's Note
A simple view of the lonely street that runs from the valley up to the Spiazzi village.
600 meters higher in 7 kilometers.
The street runs in other two settlement, Valzella and Boario, then it runs close to the old settlement of San Bernardino and then runs inside Spiazzi.
For the most part of the 7 kilometers it runs in the forest or in small plateau.
The picture was took few hundreds of meters after Boario and just before a small plateau before the first houses of Spiazzi; in front there is the vertical northern face of Mount Redondo, with a small hut of one of the last local shepherd.
As i wrote there yesterday this small Alpine village is interested by a big plan of "develop" by United Europe, the Lombardia Region and the Bergamo Province. All togeather its won develop the vally linked the 3 main ski areas in the biggest one of Lombardia and the closest to Milano.
In this image you can see a partial part of the plan, about gondolas, skilifts etcetera. The yellow lines are the ski areas existing today, the red ones are ski areas under construction or approved by the last plan, the light blue areas are the ones proposed but not yet approved cause its interested the Valzurio, a long lateral valley of Valseriana, colpetely wild, without roads but just trails, giant plateau and that is one of the most beautiful (and completely unknown) area of North Italy.
In this images you can see some view of the Valzurio: from the Spiazzi ski area, the abandoned Moschel Settlement and from the trail that runs in the middle of the main plateau at over 1700 meters.
That image is about Le Foppane, a plateau at over 2100 meters that will be the most important point of the new ski area, and the largest plateau.
Then there is a wonderful plan about hotels, new streets, new villages, hundreds of cottages, restaurant and other stuff...to "develop"...

Ciao Paolo
Marvellous repetition of the green trees with superb use of diminishing linear perspective added by the road. The hooked curve to the left at the vanishing point, adds interest. Good colour & sharpness. Tfs!

Hello Paolo,
Looking at the maintenance it could easily be in Belgium ;-). Then again, they don't have such mountains over there, even not towards Luxembourg.
Nice. And interesting to hear about the development plans. Hope it doesn't destroy the old village life too much.
The mules trail is very nice as well.
Greetings,
Dennis

I get the idea you don't approve of the development. Nor would I if this beautiful area was my second home. It seems so pristine and untouched at the moment and BIG money talks.
Your low POV on the road works well to show the steepness of the mountain ahead and all the vegetation. (Too steep for skiers :)) It's not until you notice the tiny house on the right that the scale becomes apparent. Well done
