Photographer's Note
Still in the Parco Sud Milano, but on the opposite side and the day before of the yesterday picutre about the Morimondo Abbey.
The Western and Southern sides have both a low urbanisation, with small cities, villages and farms.
The Eastern side is deeply urbanizated, with not few cities with more than 50.000 or more people.
We were going without a direction in the white unpaved streets the link all the farms and the small settlements and we arrived in a really small village, with a Sanctuary, called San Biagio, built by the Bramante in the XIV century, 2 collapsed buildings of the same period, an old giant villa and other 3 old buildings. This small settlement is part of Liscate Municipality, but as it waswrote on a wall along the "main street" it was part of the Comazzo Municipality, one of the more than 1000 deleted Municipalities of Lombardy during the Fascism, when there was a large work on the unification of the small villages and settlements under a main center.
Sautrday the sky was the typicall one of Autumnal days over Milan: GREY. A light mist was flying over the fields, and running ont he white streets we found not few old men going around with theyr bycicle, with typicall farmer clothes.
The funny thing is that we were at not more than 4 kilometers from Milan City border, and not more than 2 kilometers from the busy Linate Airport, the Microsoft Europe HQ was really close, as the Oscar Niemeyer's
Mondadori HQ was 2 kilometers North.
We were in a oasis, with farms, farmers, fields, unpaved streets, XIV Century church abandoned, horses running in the fields, cows, canals...and all that with more than 7.5 Millions of people that live all around...and we were the only ones.
Maybe there were soldes, or a rock concerts, or the City Marathon...or maybe people prefere the concrete and the asphalt...

Hello Paolo,
An almost perfect composition, the ground being divided into sections of different colours, the trees in the background providing a fine frame and the closer trees providing depth. The man on the bicycle is in the right spot, going in the right direction.
Well done,
Gert

Hello Paolo.
What a wonderful shot you have here. The viewpoint is superb, and you have captured the cyclist in the perfect position in the frame. Beautiful colours in layers diagonally across the photo, and the two rows of trees create a sense of depth. Great crop too. I like your note. I can't believe that this place is so close to the cities, it seems like a million kilometres from anywhere. Well done.
Regards,
Andrew

Bonjour Paolo,

Dario.
