Rock settlement of Montecasoli - Bomarzo (VT)
The Montecasoli plateau (also called Poggio Lungo), located about one kilometer north-west of Bomarzo, consists of a tuffaceous cliff that extends for more than one and a half kilometer in the NE-SW direction, with a height varying between 160 and 180 m asl, it is bordered by two deep "gorges", the first located to the north where the Vezza stream flows and the other to the south with the ditch of Monte Casoli or Sodera, both gorges converge at the eastern summit of the hill. The site can be reached along a country road that starts right from the famous “Parco dei Mostri”.
