I remember walking on the Milano Cathedral roof between those spears. Excellent picture with the modern towers on the far background, appearing as contrasing design as well as colors ("regular") contrast.

Hello Luciano,
My memory of the roof of the Duomo in Milano goes back to sometime in the 80's.
It was then a huge surprise for me, almost a shock :) to see that the roof was used by many people as an ideal place in the city for sunbathing.
That makes me remember a little less the architecture up there.
But your beautiful picture refreshes my memory.

Hi Luciano,
It must be a special experience to visit the roof of the Duomo. Modern high rise buildings in the background is a well chosen subject. I see those foreground details are also rebuilt. No doubt such a huge historic landmark requires constant restoration.

a special contrast between the adornments of the duomo with the modern skyscrapers ahead. I remember those ones, my hotel was near of them.

Hi Luciano.
A wonder of filigree in stone, these auctions of the cathedral, are a jewel like the whole cathedral and you have to go replacing the damaged, unrecognizable for me the skyline of the city that we see in the background with the modern and very tall buildings.
Magnificent color that gives a lot of chromatic richness to the image.
Very good management of lighting and sharpness.

Cleverly framed and composed with the gaps in the fg cathedral crosses and spikes nicely framing the bg skyscrapers. Good colour, lighting and sharpness. Tfs!

Nice combination of old and new, near and far. That one statue in the foreground towards the left also catches my eye. A friend of mine lives in Milano, probably near one of those buildings in the distance. :-) Take care!
