Caso Castle - Sant’Anatolia di Narco (PG)
Sloping castle at 667 meters above sea level, from which you can enjoy a wonderful panorama. The valley dwellers of the Val di Narco probably settled here after the attack by the Saracens in 890, to escape danger from the passage of armies along the valley.
At the end of the 12th century it belonged directly to Duke Corrado, it then passed from the ducal domain to that of the Church and then under that of the city of Spoleto.
In the thirteenth century, like the other castles of the Valnerina, it was a small semi-independent community from Spoleto and strongly linked to it; it had its own statutes, but the podestΰ was appointed by the ducal city hegemon, there was a fortress of Spoleto, now disappeared.

From the mountain, down to the trough, a sight taken under heavy fog / mist above the far side slope, Silvio.
Considering that situation - managed a fairly good outcome here.

Hello Silvio,
The fog creates a dramatic atmosphere that makes me think I would rather have been at home than going for a walk among the mountains. But you managed a sharp and well composed photo. I like the diagonal accent and the autumn coloured trees in the foreground.

Hello Silvio, there appears to be a dusting of snow which accentuates the terrain.
The mist or low cloud suggests a change in the weather perhaps?
You were once again quite high up the hillside to achieve this point of view, excellent.

Hi Silvio,
Beautiful view of this small group of buildings on steeply sloping hill. Frost shines almost like ice and make the open area between the trees look very slippery. Hanging clouds add chilly feeling.

Very interesting effect with the clouds hanging low above the town. The location of the town is so well emphasized here. The colors of the vegetation feel like autumn bu there is snow behind as if the other hill was in a different season,

A misty landscape naturally lack of bright colours which suits the condition but the village buildings add interest as good focal point. What it lacks in colour, it makes up with atmospheric imagery.

Harsh weather conditions to travel around.
The snow on the slopes and the low-hanging clouds remind me of low temperatures.
Nevertheless, the plants and trees on the slope still show beautiful autumn colours.
