The historic centre of Florence contains elegant squares (piazzas), Renaissance palaces (palazzi), academies, parks, gardens, churches, monasteries, museums, art galleries and ateliers. The city has also been nominated, according to a 2007 study, as the most desirable destination for tourists in the world.

Hello Barbara,
You had very good weather conditions for this classic view from the Piazza Michelangelo, showing the a few of the iconic views of Florence. With a slightly wider lens, you could have included the Duomo and Giotto's Tower also. What an inspiring city!

Florence not to be missed if the man. Travelling to Italy. If I think this picture is made of the Boboli garden. Very beautiful medieval city, the Ponte Vecchio, the City Hall tower, the building of the Uffizi, in the blue waters of the Arno. Real photo postcard.

Hello Barbara,
nice the panoramic view of the historic centre of Florence with the river to penetrates the city and the bridges to connect the two parts of it.I like the POV that we can see the whole city as lead-in the eye on the far end of the horizon.

You make me dreaming of my younger days when I just was 20 plus and visiting European cities every weekend. Florence I liked very much. You do not show the usual photograph of the famous bridge, that makes the difference. I like your POV and DOF very much. Well done.

wspanialy POV. Bardzo chcialbym z tego miejsca przetestowac swoj nowy teleobiektyw. Te mosty wspaniale ukladaja sie jeden za drugim. Troche ryzykowna kompozycja, horyzont zbliza sie niebezpiecznie co srodka kadru, ale chmurki nad wieza ratuja sytuacje.

This is a typical view of the prospect Firenze from Piazza Michelangelo.
It is not always easy to make a picture so clearly on the Arno, depends on the day and light.
