Former Convent of Santa Croce - Sant’Anatolia di Narco (PG)
The church of Santa Croce is located on the road to Scheggino, with the annexed former Franciscan convent of the Minori Osservanti, whose construction probably dates back to the 13th or 14th century. Even the church, despite having undergone radical and profound transformations, judging by some surviving parts (the bell gable), dates back to the thirteenth or fourteenth century. In 1610 Cesare Cardini rebuilt the complex placing it under the protection of the Lateran Basilica. According to L. Jacobilli she would have lived here in the 14th century. a Franciscan tertiary Blessed Christina.
Currently the complex is intended for hospitality, the church has been transformed into the Sala Campani and dedicated to the Roman opticians and watchmakers of the seventeenth century, originally from Castel San Felice.
