Photographer's Note
The Coliseum is one of Rome's most visited tourist attractions. When the coliseum was completed in 80 A.D., the opening was celebrated withh a 100 days of games. It seated over 50,000 spectators, was over 160 feet high and had 80 entrances. Public events such as gladiator fights and wild animal hunts were held with professional fighters, volunteers or people who were captured to fight. The gladiator fights were held until 404 A.D., and for much of that time, according to tradition, Christians were thrown to the beasts.

this is on my list of places to go ... i definitely want to photograph this.
i like your perspective and how you've got a few people in your shot to give us a true indication of how big the colliseum really is.
i'm a bit worried about your post production editing. the sky looks a little strange and pixelated, especially around the edges of the colliseum.
great shot though! well done!
