Photographer's Note
ENGLISH: For my many sins, I now propose to you the third in my series of the church of St John the Evangelist. As mentioned before, these frescoes were painted in the illusionist style by Correggio during the Renaissance. No need to tell me there is over-exposure, I couldn't help it. Four Hail Marys and an Our Father.
ITALIANO: Per i miei molti peccati, ora propongo a voi la terza nella mia serie della chiesa di San Giovanni Evangelista. Come accennato prima, questi affreschi sono stati dipinti in stile illusionistico del Correggio nel Rinascimento. Non c'θ bisogno di dirmi che non ho fatto la sovraesposizione, non ho potuto farne a meno. Quattro Ave Maria e un Padre Nostro.

My Dear little Leftie,
Nice shot, never easy hand holding in low light particularly when you need to show the type of detail you have here. No joe blakes here.
I love the divine light shining through the window, the mad monk is everywhere.
If this was my shot (and I wish it was) I'd have made a small adjustment so as not to distract the eye from the overall image. Workshop is awaiting your perusal.

I love the way the light is shining into the church.
Nice choice of vertical format, which highlights this long ray of light and complements the pillars.

The light coming through is magnificent illumination of the cathedral's ceiling and walls, with fabulous paintings.
It has some backlight excess - yet, a nice idea applied.

Hi Lisa, Again you have managed to capture some excellent detail, the beauty of this artwork is there for all to see & the gothic roof adds extra quality, I like the ray of light shining through the windows as it helps to show off just how clustered with painting this ceiling is, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

Hi Lisa,
The exposure is exactly right, showing that light beam too. Also eyes see such opening as overexposed in a shady church. Such rich details, I bet there's more of those in Italy than anywhere else.

another stunningly clear and detailed shot inside this awesome church. Such an amazing shaft of light and you have controlled the capture of this so perfectly. Not an easy shot to get right, so some achievement to get the light so clear without losing the details of the paintings. Awesome!!

Hello Lisa,
Another fine capture of this magnificently decorated interior. The lighting is well managed despite the difficult circumstances; I like that shaft of light coming through the window on the left. The detail is superbly rendered. Not long to the weekend now.
Started my cure today, very tiring and quite painful afterwards. I guess it can only get better; another three weeks to go.

Molto bello questo particolare di questa chiesa cosμ riccamente decorata e affrescata. I particolari sono cosμ tanti che l'occhio si perde!
Il gioco delle linee e archi crea un bel senso dei volumi interni e la luce che entra dalla finestra crea un bell'effetto. (E' ovvio che non potevi farci niente ma va benen cosμ)
Eccellente la nitidezza. (non capisco che cosa ha fatto nel ws...)

Hi Lisa,
I don't know if God will forgive your sins, but I will. (At least those pertaining to this photo - any others are your business, unless you want to tell us about them too.) I think the overexposure of the windows gives a nice effect here, almost like some brilliant supernatural presence outside, streaming in the windows to illuminate Coreggio's fine workmanship.

Ciao Cara, I was so taken by the ray of light coming in the window that I didn't see the little "distraction" until it was pointed out. You have done well to capture the details under such difficult conditions. Brava. Your sins are absolved :).

I like very much your series with the interiors. This one is incredibly rich, there is so much going on. It is very impressive. I like very much the effect of falling light through the window.
Very natural, very well exposed.
You can almost feel as if you were there.

Even the most skillful photographer could not do better abut the over-exposure at the windows. Thanks to the way you have photographed the image, we have the village to appreciate the beauty of the frescoes. I love the light shearing though the space, Looking at the image like this one, One could almost believe in the existence of a heavenly kingdom. The volume of the space is very well captured. It is an impressive work.
I often think of how you are coping with your difficult situation. Please try not to do too much, and please do think about you own health above all. We all miss you very much.
