Photographer's Note
After some day of great fear and grief, I want to remember a little bit every day my poor country so hurt.
My whole family lives in these villages so stricken: Mirandola, SanFelice sul Panaro, Finale, Bondeno, Vigarano, Ferrara, San Martino, and so on.
My parents, my brothers, my nieces and my nephews, my uncles and my aunts, all my cousins are there. My grandparents are buried there.
Someone lost his home, someone is injured, someone lost his firm, all them lived a horrible experience.
But they are all safe.
The Rocca of San Felice sul Panaro, that I could see from my bedroom' window in my parents' home, 3 km from the village, as it was.
The higher tower is the only remaining, and so damaged that probably shall be pulled down.

Ciao Elena,
excellent the view as the presentation of the castle with the light and the colour management to brings out the details of the image.I like the clarity as the panoramic view of the area, including the castle.

Ciao Alena ,

Hello Elena,
A strong composition from a low level POV to emphasize the magnitude of this lovely castle. Thanks to your masterful light management the details are tack sharp and the colors are well defined and appealing. Congratulations and thanks. Best wishes,

Hi Elena, sometimes I wonder if the people are reading the notes. Yes, the photo has nice composition and colours, and sharpness too, but is it important now? I can images all these fear, if everyone of the family is safe. It is good. But next, so many buildings, that survived centuries, are ruined. Difficult to believe that this splendid old palace will not exist anymore. I can imagine your sadness.
Warm regrads

Welcome back Elena, I have missed seeing your photos for about 10 days now, and was getting a little worried, so I am very happy to see another photo from you!!
What a beautifully presented photo and with very fine detail to color and light control. The clarity is stunning Elena and combined with your POV and your notes, I have found this photo to be very pleasing and informative. I'm so glad you have returned to us, and I hope all is well with you and yours!!

Cara Elena

Carlo

Hello Elena - Reading your note and looking at this magnificent building which is now likely to be pulled down brought home the devastation caused by the earthquake. I am pleased though to hear that your family are safe, that is most important. Try and stay strong. I send your family all my best wishes at this terrible time. Rosemary
