Omphale, Bacchus and Drunken Hercules - Pompeii

It is located in the House of Sirico (VII.1.47) it belonged to two brothers or two business partners, Sirico and Nummiano, it is constituted by the union, which took place in the 1st century BC, of two residences, one with entrance from via Stabiana, the other from Vicolo del Lupanare. The central painting on the north wall, opposite the entrance, shows Omphale and his assistants in the upper left, Bacchus with his assistants in the upper right.
In the lower register, on the left, some cupids hold the club of Hercules, who lies drunk on the right.
