Photographer's Note

ENGLISH: I have posted a few photos of this place previously. This is Beltany Stone Circle just outside the small town of Raphoe in County Donegal. Beltane is a festival of fertility and fire celebrated every May. The Circle dates back to mesolithic times (is posssibly as old as 3,000 years) and has 62 standing stones and a main altar. Inside the Circle is a tumulus, an ancient burial ground. The place is fascinating, and as I wrote in my previous posting, I recommend going "tribal" with your goatskins, antlers and a couple of sacrificial chickens.
