Airplane crash on icelandic beach.
On the Saturday of Nov 24, 1973 a United States Navy airplane (C-47 SkyTrain also known as “Dakota”) was forced to land on Sσlheimasandur’s black sandy beach in the south of Iceland. The crew survived the landing and the airplane’s remains are still standing at the crash site.
The black sand makes the wreckage scene look very dramatic like it was taken out of some apocalyptic zombie movie.

Hello Patrick,
the BW treatment works very well giving the bleak appearance lots of interest and drama.
There are a good range of tones and fine clarity in a well composed shot.

Bonsoir Patrick!
B&W was the only choice. You had the luck to combine a good spot light on the aircraft with a dull, indifferent sky. Well chosen perspective, and if I'm right, it is difficult to find the old Dacota, which you also managed.

Trθs belle image ! Les tons gris argentιs de l'ιpave, le noir du sable et ce ciel gris plombι crιent une atmosphθre angoissante trθs rιussie. Cadrage excellent et nettetι parfaite. Et lumiθre trθs subtile pour ne rien gβcher !

je ne suis pas fan de tes traitements sur toutes tes photos, c est perso et tu le comprendras, mais celle-ci par exemple est fantastique a tout point de vue: le sujet, ces enormes objets "industriels" a l abandon au milieu de nulle part, trace d humanite un peu lugubre, sont deja fantastiques, mais quand c est bien cadre avec un traitement qui renforce l ambiance de monde perdu, bravo!
