Photographer's Note

The Blue Lagoon is a thermal mineral pool fed by water from a nearby power plant in Grindavik, Iceland. It was our first stop after landing at Keflavik Airport, and must be one of the most otherworldly spots on earth - to get there you drive through terrain that looks not unlike the moon, and then catch your first glimpse of water so turquoise and thick that it appears to almost glow.
