Day 2 - Reykjavik - Vik
A view on the small village of Ásólfsskáli along road 1, on south coast of Iceland. It has a typically icelandic church, with its white walls and its red roof. The village is situated bottom of Eyjafjallajökull glacier, the one that hosts the famous volcano that put disorder to Europe sky two years ago ! I liked here how the clouds play with the mountains over the village.

Hello Olivier,
You have used the elements well to bring to us the massive scale differential between the hill and the habitations. It seems like a huge whale compared with pilot fish!
The light and shadow details are a real bonus to the shot, helping to reveal the undulations in the terrain.

Salut Olivier,
Bonne composition avec ce hameau et église au pied des montagnes et puis cette luminosité bien capturée entre ombre et rayons de soleil, joli vert et rouge.

C'est une très belle photo et un paysage superbe. Ce qui me plait le plus, c'est les ombres et le contraste vert - rouge.

Salut Olivier,
I would have tryed to isolate the church with a bit more of the foreground visible.
THe shadows from the clouds spend a nice pattern on this half green and half grey hill.
Of course your frame gives a better sense of scale.

Le cadrage aéré donne bien l'idée d'échelle ici. Il m'a l'air sympathique ce petit village.

I love the soft sun light on the hill, bring beautiful contast to the image. The village and charming little chapal bring lot of charming element to the iamge. Love the color of the greens and red roofs.
