Photographer's Note

Hallgrνmskirkja is easily the most prominent feature on the Reykjavνk skyline. It is a Lutheran church named after the Icelandic poet and clergyman Hallgrνmur Pιtursson.

It is 244 feet high - and is therefore the sixth highest structure in the country. However - due to it's position on a hill in the city - it appears to be by far the tallest building in town.

It is possible to climb the tower for great views of the city and surrounding mountains.
