Το κάστρο των Ιωαννίνων
Το Ιτς Καλέ είναι η νοτιοανατολική ακρόπολη του κάστρου όπου και βρισκόταν τα ανάκτορα του Αλή Πασά.
Το 1788 ο Αλή Πασάς ο τεπενλής ανέλαβε την εξουσία και προχώρησε σε εκτεταμένες αλλαγες στην μορφή του κάστρου.
Στην νοτιοανατολική ακρόπολη βρίσκεται το Φετιχιέ τζαμί.Από το 1789 βρισκόταν στην περιοχή το σεράι του Αλή Πασά και άλλα κυβερνητικά κτίρια.Στον ευρύτερο χώρο βρίσκετε ο πύργος του Βοημονδού,το κτίριο πυριτιδαποθήκης,το κτίριο των μαγειρίων, το κτίριο θυσαυροφυλακίου, η εκκλησία των Αγίων Αναργύρων,το κτίριο αποθηκών, ερείπια του κτιρίου των λουτρών,ο τάφος του Αλή Πασά και της γυναίκας του Εμινέ, καί οι βάσεις παλαιότερου φρουρίου.
Εκεί υπήρχε και η Μητρόπολη του Δεσποτάτου η οποία είχε ανεγερθεί(1205 - 1215) από τον Κομνηνό Μιχάλη τον Ά.
Στην νοτιοανατολική ακρόπολη υπήρχε ο πυρήνας του αρχικού κάστρου.Τα ψηλά του τείχη είναι δημιούργημα του Αλή Πασά ενώ η τεχνική χαρακτιρίζετε ως βενετική.

In the south-eastern citadel existed the core of initial castle.The tally wall is creation of Ali All while technical is from Venice

Hi Nick,
It's a wonderful compo, with a neat visual arrangement and with a gorgeous light. I like much that mix of covered bluish grey sky and the sun, namely because it seems to make the colours stand out. The tree with its Autumn foliage on the left is just great. That tower that reminisce a minaret it's intriguing, but after all, I guess the construction was built when Ottomans ruled the region.
