Ano Mera, Folegandros, April 2008. This photo could have been taken some decades ago. In Ano Mera, you can still see images of "old" Greece.

These 3 people were returning from their fields and barns where they went to feed their animals. As I wrote in a previous post ( A Greek cliche ), many people in that part of the island have Cretan origins. The man in that old post was called Psaromilingos, a common surname in the region of Sfakia, Hania Prefecture.

These people, belong to the Marinakis family, a family that came from Lasithi Prefecture (my homeland), Crete to Folegandros, some 300 or 400 years ago.
