Road to the heart of November, a photo from Trikala, Thessaly

Photographer's Note

From the beautiful village of Kastania, you can take a dirtroad that after 5,5 km will lead you to some waterfalls. You will pass through a beautiful forest, where you will enjoy every possible (and impossible) colour. I couldn' get to the waterfalls because a landslide and some huge rocks blocked my way.

Although November is one of the most beautiful months of the year, especially for photography, it wasn't a good month for me, so I want to say goodbye to it with a rather pesimistic song from one of my very favorite artists, Tom Waits. So, here are the lyrics of "November":

Like a painting. A lovely and very splendidly crafted shot with refreshing colours and textures. The POV is good and so is the perspective. An absolutely remarkable composition which leaves a lot of impact. Good framing and presentation. Nice job indeed.

How can I say goodbye to autumn and November colors?(my favourite movie is "sweet November") The following season should be in white, but there is no sign of snow yet so we'll continue to upload autumn colors for a while i think:))
Very classic but impressive autumn photo. Particularly the enigmatic road going to the misty background among beautiful colors improves the effect.
I liked the lyrics too.

Βλέποντας τα έντονα χρώμα τα φαντάστηκα πως η φωτογραφία θα ήταν στο εξωτερικό, μάλλον χαίρομαι που έπεσα έξω και έχουμε τέτοια όμορφα χρώματα και εδώ. Φαντάζομαι πως θα έχεις αντιμετωπίσει αρκετές φορές δυσκολίες στη ζωή... απλώς θα σου υπενθυμίσω πως οτι δεν μας σκοτώνει μας κάνει πραγματικά πιο δυνατούς.

Excellent autumn photo! The colors of the trees are amazing and the for in the tree tops help set the mood of the photo. This shot looks like a postcard. Your composition is great using the road to lead the eye into the photo. The lighting is fine here with excellent sharpness and detail.

Los colores son casi increibles, esta es una maravilla de foto. Es solo una pena que la nota no sea mas alegre, pero espero que el problema que hayas tenido ya sea superado.

these are some incredible colors. IMO this is a perfect TE shot...I actually learned something here because I'd have never thought that Greece had an "Indian summer." The colors are magnificent and the foggy sky gives the shot an even more fall-like feeling.
