Photographer's Note
Most visitors go to Corfu island in summertime, to enjoy the beaches.
But the island can be also beautiful in wintertime, you'll have the place for yourself, and there are many nice spots to see.
For example, small islands and religious architecture. This one is the Vlacherna monastery, built in the 17th century, in a tiny islet which today is connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway.
It's a scan which I've repaired - partially. I do have cleaner versions achieved with a variety of tools, but sometimes there's a dilemma - not necessarily the cleanest version is the most suitable to the message, or desired mood. This one with some noise was the version I liked the most, so I've decided to choose it for the post.

hi daniel, amazing, the only thing i would change is a less central placement of the main object, meaning either a bit more of the sky or a bit more of the sea

The island is very beutiful Daniel, the house over it is fascinating, beautiful place indeed, I like also your composition, it is a pity the low quality of the image, but, however this is a good image, compliments.

Hi Daniel,
Lovely sky with lots of pastel tones. And nice simple subject. Targetting a little lower would have been preferable. Now part of the reflection is cut off.
Yes, noise is a difficult subject and often trying to remove it altogether leaves the scene artificial look. I can't see any other way than trying different options. I'm so much happier, and successful, with digital.

Hi Daniel, beautiful image. here is a little bit of noise and lost something for the colours, but the calm water and the desolation all around are really well captured.

I like this image well enough with the beautiful pastel shades in the sky; the subtle muted light is wonderful. Paolo's WS is really stunning; I think every colour of the rainbow is in the sky.
Even though the reflection is only partial, I think I would rather have that then if you have slightly changed your composition as some people suggest. I like the composition as it is.

A midget island with a beautiful and complex house ! But, apart from the compostion which is excellent as so fote,n with you, I am surprised in a good way by this iridescent color on the water; left of the tree's reflexion.
A very sucessfull salvage if the original was endangered.

this was a bold choice and it paid off. good color resulted from the noise and teh texture seem to reflect a particular mood. to a technically puritan this might not be the best shot but along with your note this shot conveys your mood very well.

I like the image placed centraly surrounded by water because it gives an abstract feeling about it coupled with the rainbow graduation and strange green reflection.

Peculiar photo that allows to see us this small island with a monastery, that it almost occupies it completely. These surprises that give these beautiful Greek islands to us are very pleasant.
Lighting is very good, the definition and the colors are splendid, and you have made a frame excellent. I like specially the brightness and the reflections of the water.
Scanned well, it has quality.
