Hello Mariusz,
It's clear that Balos has a lot of possibilities in the field of photography.
It seems to me less the place where you look for a spot on the sand to spend a few hours, although I suspect that a lot of visitors do this. I think I would wander around there all the time, always looking for a different viewpoint and different composition :)
Also here I find the colour of the sea amazing.
I suppose we see a sea inlet here or is it maybe a lagoon? In the latter case, you would probably have named your photo 'The blue lagoon'.
I see some on the beach have also set up a tent. Is Balos very remote?
One last question: Is Crete nowadays also a Mediterranean destination frequented by people who like parties and fun and noise all night long? I've seen too many of these places in Cambodia and Thailand ...

Hello Mariusz!

I didn't know Balos beach and had to look at Google Maps: far remote in the extreme west of the island. We did not get farther than to Chania on our honeymoon (which was in 1987), so thanks for reminding me of those magnificent colours.
BTW: We do not dare to return, lest our memories might be spoilt by the certainly different views of the presence.

Hello Mariusz,
A great vantage point to overlook the beach and the clear and calm water. The colours are wonderful and the light and greenish tones of the water on this side of the narrow strip of sand and the darker blue of the open sea make a great contrast.

Piekna kolorystyka z tej greckiej wyspy i chyba jednej z popularniejszych plaz w tej okolicy.Kolorystyka wody i kontrast niesamowity. Nie wiem jakie byly warunki do kadrowania na miejscu, ale wydaje mi sie ciekawym gdyby dodac nieco szerszy fragment nieba - wprowadzilo by to dodatkowy kolor w tym kolorowym pasiaku.

A great study in blue and green. Nice and sharp and well composed. As you say, it looks like a great place for photography, especially on a sunny day like this.

I knew I liked this immediately, even from the small thumbnail gallery page. as you mentioned, the colors are such a key highlight of the photo. its one of those horizontally layered shots which work so well. lovely light, exposure, colors, compo, everything works. brilliant.

Good morning Mariusz,
The water turquoise color at the lagoon is an eyes catching object, than on my second glance realized the wide beach and the scale given with the people there.
They keep social distances according to the rules...

yes, looks like an excellent place to see and enjoy the waters at same time. amazing the different hues of blue and the aspect of the beach. I liked the view. last time I enter in the sea was in greece, but the waters were cold.
