Photographer's Note
Trekking in Crete last September.
Dry but extremely beautiful land. The shape and colours are so different. Only sheep and goats live here.
The image is taken to the direction where we came up from a gorge to this hill/mountain. Height is about 1500 meters from sea level. You can see "rivers" of sand and rocks and distant forest (or trees) etc. The darker mountain is from volcanic origin but at that time it was under the sea.
Tried to emphasize the detail and tones and keep the result "natural". Made from Raw.

Hi Pentti,
for sure it must be a great experience for trekking there in that almost "wilderness", gorgeous view down to that gorge or valley, perfect sharpness and colors, too..
hae a nice day, and keep on posting, Bernd

Hi Pentti
this landscape has become a texture of cliffs and dry lands. the Pov from the high removes the horizon and the sky. it becomes therefore necessary to do on it a decided reading. and in fact this happens because of the small alphabet of subjects. however a point lacks on which the look can be particularly attracted. this is only my humble opinion, Pentti. I hope that you do not mind.
have a good week end

Hello Pentti !
Yes, you're right, that landscape reminds me some areas in Corsica, but it seems to me to be less green and much dryer... Very good depth of view, with natural colors ! You must be a high-level trekker, I'm impressed. I wonder you would fall in love with Corsican mountain ;0)
Have a nice evening !
Sylvain
