Photographer's Note

A scene viewed from the plane travelling from Leros to Athens. I can't be sure about the exact location but comparing the time of departure and the moment of the capture, I guess that the plane was close to Patmos. I was stunned when I turned around and saw the golden sea through the gaps in the cloudscape.

It's a beautiful mix of these wonderful clouds and the golden colours that the reflected sunlight gave to the sea many feet below you. The shapes of the clouds look fantastic too, perfect photo work from an aircraft.

Hello Ourania,
The clouds and reflections make this a fairly abstract composition. I like the fluffy shapes of the clouds and above all the wonderful pink and orange tones. At first I thought the darker shape near the bottom was the shadow of the plane, but I guess it's just a smaller cloud. Or maybe a tiny island?

Initially the pic was a bit strange but when see carefully I enjoyed it. Perfect from a plane. Very natural colors. And the clouds really creates a good natural surroundings
