Photographer's Note
Το επιβλητικό Φαράγγι του Βίκου, μια μαγευτική τοποθεσία με μεγάλη οικολογική αξία. Το Φαράγγι του Βίκου βρίσκεται στο βιβλίο Guinness ως το φαράγγι με το μικρότερο άνοιγμα, μόλις 1100 μέτρα στο στενότερο σημείο του και ταυτόχρονα βάθος που ξεπερνά τα 900 μέτρα.
Με μήκος 12 χλμ και μέγιστο ύψος 1000 μ. είναι ένα από τα βαθύτερα φαράγγια του κόσμου. Το πλάτος του κυμαίνεται από 30 μέχρι 100 μέτρα και οι πλαγιές του είναι κατάφυτες από σπάνια λουλούδια και βότανα . Το ποτάμι που το διασχίζει, ο Βοϊδομάτης έχει νερό από τον Νοέμβριο έως τον Ιούνιο.
Καλύτερη εποχή για το πέρασμα του φαραγγιού είναι το καλοκαίρι - πάντα, βέβαια, με τη συντροφιά έμπειρου συνοδού.
The imposing Gorge of Tare, a enchanting locality with big ecological value. The gorge of Tare is found in the book Guinness as the gorge with the smaller opening, hardly 1100 metres in his narrower point and simultaneously depth that exceeds the 900 metres. With length of 12 km and biggest height of 1000 m. he is one from the deeper gorges of world. His width oscillates from 30 up to his 100 metres and [plagies] is verdant from infrequent flowers and herb. The river that crosses him, Ox-eyed has water from November until June. Better season for the passage of gorge is always the summertime -, certain, with the company of experienced session.

I wish the picture was bigger so I could see better all the details of this superb landscape! I like its brightness, colors and sharpness! The cloudy sky looks very nice in this one and the high cliffs are such an object for this scene, really eye-catching!
