Photographer's Note
We have on TrekEarth this ongoing discussion about weather in England. Whoever watches my photos may conclude that England is a very sunny country. My gallery from England is biased because I use my camera only on good weather days. There may be a similar effect when you watch my photos from Crete. Cretan beaches will appear sandy and shallow, perfect for families with children. I think majority of beaches in this region are pebble or rocky beaches and not always family friendly. So please keep it in mind. The Balos Beach, on the other hand, which you see in this photo, is predominantly sandy and shallow but there are few areas with rocks as well. I have selected the rocky fragment to show here because the rocks make a more photogenic foreground.

What do you want to tell us now, Mariusz??? Isn't the weather in England so sunny every day? What a disappointment to hear about this.
The Balos Beach looks like a dream: crystal clear water on the foreground and wonderfully blue a little further in the sea.
The big rocks make a very attractive foreground.
Your photo has much depth with the distance between these rocks and the people in the water, the boat and the steep slope on the other side of the bay. Or is that other side perhaps an island?

Fantastic view of the crystal clear water, which had attracted a lot of people for a swim. I really like how they are seen in between the rock formations in the shallow waters in the foreground and the impressive cliffs on the other side. Very well done.

Niesamowity kolor wody i... zachowany dystans covidowski w wodzie.
Swietna sceneria, przyjemny dla oka krajobraz.
Ta wyspa chodzi mi po glowie, ale odwiedziny w nieokreslonej przyszlosci. Ciekaw jestem czy wybrales sie tam na gorska wycieczke-wawozy etc... choc podejrzewam ze z dzieckiem bylo trudno o to.

Hello Mariusz,
I prefer to bathe at a sandy beach but this one was ideal for both the purposes of bathing and photographing! The rocks make excellent, textural images, that you don't get on a singularly sandy beach.
I love how you have shown the sunlight reflecting on the water, in the f/g, creating a whole different effect to the rocks.
Just look at the colour of that sea! It's so typical of what you experience in Greece!
It's a very well composed photograph, interesting details and perfectly animated.

Hello Mariusz, with the rocks in the foreground, we can see how clear the water is, and there are lovely patterns as the light catches the movement.
The sea is the most beautiful colour, complemented by a very blue sky.

Mariusz, sea urchins don t seem to live on these rocks, moreover that beach contains sandy floors. So i suppose a bath here in the tepid seawater must be pleasant. The turquoise and attractive water constrasts with the arid hills that encircle the natural site. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

in UK I had few days of real rain, most of the days I spent there was grey or with some fast rain and sprays.
in crete the sky is so dry that we don't have a touch of white in the horizon as usual here. marvelous blues in the sky and the water and the grey landscape around.

A wonder this beach, these large rocks with those crystalline waters make a beautiful effect, the water at the bottom where there is more depth has a beautiful color, which contrasts with the arid rock hills as a background.
