Photographer's Note
This picture was taken at "Friedensplatz" in the city centre of Bonn.
The incredible contrast between the facade in Wilhelminian style (19th century) in the foreground and the functional front of the new city hall, built 1978, caught my eyes.
The old cit hall you can see here.
Using the map view function at the left you can zoom in (please click several times at +) exactly to my point of view. The line of sight goes in western direction, where you can find the city hall.

Hi Frank!
Very nice light captured on the face of this building. Good contrast and very nice framing by the tree. Maybe there's a little bit of a tilt to the right which could be corrected.

Hallo lieber Frank,
Diesen Kontrast kenne ich aus vielen deutschen Staedten. Am schlimmsten aber ist in Wien gegenueber dem Dom; die Geabeude mit der Glasverkleidung ; die oesterreicher amuesieren sich zwar an deb Verspiegelungen des Doms aber fuer mich ist es immer ein recht trauriges Bild gewesen.
Hier in Bonn (zumindest bei dieser Aufnahme) ist es nicht so schlimm. Schoenes Licht und wie immer bei Dir, gutes Blickwinkel. Und am schoensten natuerlich die natuerliche Umrahmung oben mir den Zweigen der Rosskastanie.

Au moins ΰ Bonn, il ne pleuvait pas ce jour lΰ, car ici aussi il pleut ;o(
Tu fais bien remarquer le contraste qu'il y a entre les architectures de ces immeubles. L'ιclairage solaire met bien en ιvidence la beautι de cette ancienne faηade.
La composition me plait avec ces branchages qui comblent un vide.

Hi Frank
The good light gives nice tones to the buildings, but of course at this time of the year, never gets high enough to disperse the shade. A good POV and nice use of the tree to frame at the top.

You already know that I like the architecture, and this composition offers us a good combination of different styles, with a great graphism.
I like its simplicity and its quality of image, the dynamism of the people and the fantastic game of light and shades.
The detail of the branches in FG is very elegant and adds more quality to your photo.
