Klner Dom

This is my second picture from Cologne, that was taken just after we arrived in the city. As you can see the weather was much nicer than later that day (and earlier that day, as the ground is still wet).
It's a stitch of two photos (made with Autostitch), as it was impossible for me to capture the whole cathedral in one picture at such close range.

Klner Dom (Cologne Cathedral) is the best-known landmark of the city Cologne, Germany. Its official name is Hohe Domkirche St. Peter und Maria. It's a gothic church, which is the biggest cathedral in Germany and one of the biggest in Europe. From 1880 to 1884 it was the tallest building in the world. The two towers are 157,3m high.
The construction started in August 1248 and was first completed 632 years later, in 1880. In 1996 it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Cologne.

My first picture from Cologne can be found here: a View of Kln

I hope you like this view of this impressive cathedral. :-)
