Photographer's Note
Five months ago, a lot of water went down past our asses here in Ahr valley, which caught us with our pants down and which 134 of us did not survive.
Reconstruction can be seen everywhere, and the entire valley is a humming 50 km long large construction site.
We know for certain that we are running a marathon and will rebuild our valley better and with more ecological value than before.
Donations and craftsmen are still urgently needed and very welcome. We AHR family, we do live solidAHRity!
Cheeky greetings from Sinzig, and a Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate it.

Hello Sven,
The fight against water is always an important issue for the Netherlands. A large part of the country is below sea level and requires new solutions with the rising sea level. The rivers that flow to the North Sea in our country also constantly demand our attention and have caused a lot of damage in Limburg this year. A lot of money is still being spent on creating better flow and temporary storage in the issue of increasingly frequent flooding.
Hopefully 2022 will finally be a quieter year again, although the prospects are not great.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year, Groet Rob

Hello again,
It is quite an unusual X-mas photo. On the other hand it is quite good.
Best Wishes,
Gy.
