Photographer's Note

This is yet another view of the Holstentor, this time in a wider context and from a different point of view than in my previous uplod. This photo was taken from the tower of St Petri Church. Of course it was not easy to be there at the blue hour. In fact I have showed you a similar view of Holstentor taken on another blue hour occasion:

In that photo, taken four days before, I wanted to get closer to the gate itself and that is why I truncated the sky. Here I actually wanted to preserve the sky to show off the blue hour timing, even at the cost of losing details of the gate. From this perspective I have most of the old town behind my back.
