Photographer's Note
This is Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Haus in Bonn. It was built about 1820 as a dwelling house for the professors of the then founded university of Bonn.
Its most famous dweller was Ernst-Moritz Arndt (1769 - 1860), a German nationalistic author and poet. You can read more about Arndt HERE.
Today this house - a real historic gem, furnished in the artistic style of Biedermeier - is used for exhibitions and official events of the municipality of Bonn. It also can be hired for private festivities and events. On its other side there's a wonderful terrace with a stunning view over Rhine valley.
You can see its situation in map view.

Heh heh heh heh !!!! Endlich erwischt !

Hello Frank,
As a lifelong academic, I am always interested in information about universities. The University of Bonn has always had a very good reputation, and the idea of building the beautiful edifice for faculty housing shows how seriously academics were regarded two centuries ago. Your photograph is well conceived, and well implemented. The light is excellent, showing off the color effectively.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello Frank,
A good composition of this splendid house; I like the slightly off-centre point of view. The pink tones of the architecture contrast nicely with the lovely blue sky. Very good sharpness. Greetings from a bright and, for once, quite mild Charente-Maritime.

Frank,
This is a great shot of this fine building. The road creates a nice diagonal into the shot leading the eye to the house. The trees frame the house nicely helping to focus our attention on it. The lighting and colors are fine as is the photo's sharpness.

Good morning, Frank.
An interesting house and a very interesting description of the image. Recently I have no such luck the weather is nice like you. Here, the beautiful sky, and probably completely devoid of clouds. On the tenth of March in Mosinie weather was very ugly. For example, a moment before the sun shone, and a dozen or so seconds before the snow began to fall. Nice staff, simple and uncomplicated, nice light and pure colors. Great focus on all plans. Place for a quiet walk.
Have a nice day,
Jurek

Guten Abend Frank, You surprised me with the title and I thought what a nice place to live, and then I read the note that this was formerly a place for faculty. My last fourteen years ,before I retired, I was with a University. Anyway, it is a lovely looking place and the pink color is striking. The trees frame the building to some extent and I am sure when they leaf out, there will be some of the former dwelling obstructed from view, so you took this at a good time. Have a good week. BTW, I visited three universities in Germany, Stuttgart,Tuebingen and one for which the name escapes me, but everyone there spoke a dialect that I couldn't understand. Regards, Roger

Hallo Frank,
A beautiful house, which you have also shot in a skilful way from a good POV and nicely framed. Very beautiful light and lovely colours. One can see from the map view that the view over Rhine valley must be gorgeous from the backside terrace. Indeed a much more springlike atmosphere than the still wintry one here. TFS!
Greetings from Espoo, where snow and sleet is in the forecast,
