Photographer's Note
A few day ago I showed you the great prince-elector's castle in Bonn - but only the main building.
Between this building and the bank of Rhine river there's a large side wing. The whole castle extends from West to East and therefore a solution must be found concerning the important old street from North (Cologne) to South (french border near Karlsruhe) - following directly Rhine river. As you can see, the solution wasn't a simple one. The elector and archbishop of Cologne, Clemens August of Bavaria, ordered this pompous thoroughfare, the "Koblenzer Tor" (Koblenz Gate), projected by Francois Cuvillιs. It was built from 1751 to 1757.
At the top of the gate wall you can see 5 golden statues - in the middle the archangel Michael and besides him 4 statues, allegorising the virtues of devoutness, endurance, fortitude and faithfulness.
A panorama you can see here.

Hi Frank. I really enjoy the mottled light here on the building. THe road also makes a nice leading line into the image. Nice work!

Guten Tag Frank,
Very nice object and curiously unbound problems with ways. But for the good description to this photo I would have troubles sympathetically the reason for which one accepted such solution. Of course you minded all indispensable details Frank, and surely not only I am to You too this grateful. Beautifully presents herself this splendid residence on Your photo. Beautiful colours thanks to the superb weather, in no respect suggesting December. But I don′t get the idea one detail on the photograph: against the background of windows in the central part of the building I noticed the black line and I do not know, what this such. The rest is intelligible, beautifully performed and superbly shown. I like this style in Your photographic creation. There approach the holiday, so instead traditional greetings Merry Christmas Frank, for You and Your inmediate family,
Jurek

Important place and fine photo despite of a rather difficult light. Regards my friend.

Hallo Frank,

Hallo Frank,
Caught well the beauty of this architecture, his colors, and an excellent work with the low light to your back, obtaining these beautiful shades that are projected on the front.
Good photo.
Greetings from a soft Barcelona (11,4ΊC)

Hallo Frank,
