Photographer's Note
In my little series about Bonn and it's surroundings here I show you the main wing of the elector's castle of Bonn - since 1818 the main building of the University (Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitδt) of Bonn.
It was built for the Cologne Elector and archbishop Clemens August of Bavaria in it's present form about the year 1700 according to the plans of the Italian architect Enrico Zuccali. Because this wasn't enough, the elector in addition had a summer residence, 30 km away near the small town Brόhl and some other smaller castles.
In 1777 the castle in Bonn was totally destroyed by fire, original rebuilt in 1926, once again destroyed during the 2. world war in 1944 and than rebuilt in 1951. It is situated in the middle of the city. In front of it there's a wonderful park, the "Hofgarten".

I like your composition and POV here. The color and lighting are great. I think if you had raised your f-stop some you would have gotten more DOF and sharpness. Still a very good nice photo and good note!

Tolles Architekturfoto mit schoener Perspektive.Schoener Kontrast mit dem Himmel ,den ich hier seit drei Wochen habe und dazu waermer.Die Fassade aehnelt etwas dem Manneheimer Schloss,diese ist jedoch rosa/weiss.(nein ,ich habe kein Heimweh!)

Hallo Frank,
an sich fδnde ich das Gebδude weniger interessant. Aber ob der Perspektive sowie der Komposition bekommt es einen spektakulδren Blick. Das Licht bzw. der Schatten im Vordergrund vestδrkt diesen Reiz. Daher - gute Arbeit!

tolles photo, frank, mit einer einmaligen perspektive
entlang der besonnten gelben wand die zu dem kleinen turm fόhrt.
ich glaube, hier muss ich auch mal wieder die "map view" ausprobieren.

hervorragendes Bild, durch die schnurgeraden Fluchtlinien. Krδftige satte Farben. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist der Schatten, welcher sich in den Vordergrund schiebt.

Hello Frank ! Super klare Aufnahme - und was fuer ein imposantes Gebaeude. Wunderbar der blau-blaue Himmel mit dem grass-gruen der Wiese ... ein elegantes Foto. Der kleine Schattenwurf macht das Ganze gar noch etwas interessanter.
Auch Dir, ich wuensche Dir alles alles Gute fuers kommende Jahr, aber zuerst natuerlich fuer die bevorstehenden Festtage. Same in Zurich: Kaum Winter, dafuer alles "grau in grau" (eingenebelt ...).

A beautifull residence, of very classical style. The Elector seems to have had a lot of space and probably losts of servants to clean the windows. very good framing, colors and sharpness.
