Photographer's Note

Here I show you a row of houses at the market place of Celle, a town of about 70000 inhabitants in the federal state Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) in northern Germany. The picture was taken on a Saturday when market takes place here.
The buildings in Celles old town center date back to the 16th century, among them numerous (about 480 restored) half-timbered houses, making Celle an important city for tourism in the southern Lneburg Heath region. A walk in Celle is like using a time machine ...

In the workshop you can see another view of the market place with the medieval church St. Mary's, built mainly in the 13th century.
