Photographer's Note
The Allianz Arena is the new home of Munich's soccer clubs Bayern Mόnchen and 1860 Mόnchen. Designed by the Swiss architects Herzog and de Meuron together with Alpine Bau, the soccer stadium was built from 2002 until 2005. It gives place to 66,000 fans. To acquire funding for the station, a public decision (Bόrgerentscheid) was needed where 66% voted in favor of the station. Amazing: the smooth facade consists of 2,874 rhombuses; depending on the team playing, they can glow in red, blue, or white color. Let's look forward to the FIFA World Championship 2006, whose opening game will be in this spot.

Hey Christian,
to me it seems as if TE members don't care that much about soccer. I do and especially about the WorldCup this year. Hope you are experiencing the same good atmosphere in Munich as I experienced in Cologne yesterday.
Your picture is great and I love the stadium. Saw it two months ago when Siegen played vs 1860.
Thanks for sharing,
Andreas
