Photographer's Note
I shared here already my postcard from Pillnitz Castle:
https://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Germany/East/Sachsen//photo1587228.htm
The Pillnitz Castle consists of three separate palaces. The main building, which you have seen in my previous photo is known as the Upper Palace (Bergpalais), built between 1722 and 1723. The most popular on TrekEarth is probably the Riverside Palace (Wasserpalais), built between 1720 and 1721. It is more often photographed since it is located immediately next to the river and it has elegant steps leading down to the river. These two palaces are connected on the east side by the New Palace (Neues Palais), built in Neoclassical style between 1819 and 1826. The New Palace (in this photo) contains the royal kitchen and a Catholic chapel. The roofs and moldings in each of the buildings exemplify the Oriental-influenced style fashionable during that period. Today, the New Palace contains the Palace Museum (Schlossmuseum) with a permanent exhibition presenting its eventful history as a former royal Saxon summer residence.
Pillnitz Castle is known as being given by King Augustus II the Strong to one of his numerous mistresses, known as Countess of Cosel. Augustus is known for fathering a record number of children (365–382). In the statistics given by Wikipedia, he is beaten only by artificial insemination.

Hello Mariusz,
Such an appealing photo of this palace and the gardens in the foreground with some fine and colourful flowers. You chose a good angle, which shows the elegant architecture very well. I like the many small towers on the roofs around the large white tower in the centre.

Hi Mariusz,
This is a well composed photo with plenty of colour in the gardens. It looks like a very pleasant place to stroll around on a sunny day like this. King Augustus II must have been a very busy man. How did he find time to govern his kingdom?

Hello Mariusz,
People on the front yard garden of the castle enable good scale to appreciate the castle building.
The arch-windows and pillars on the facade and the chimneys which looks at turrets, are attractive elements here.
Chosen well the fair distant POV.
Have a nice new day,
Ike

Hello Mariusz,
King Augustus II the Strong clearly had a soft spot for children. Thanks to the children's allowance he has been able to give expensive gifts :)
Strange sight with the many chimneys.
I especially like the foreground of this picture.
The landscape garden is so beautiful. There are even palmtrees!
Best regards, Paul

Mariusz, the castle front facade comprises a clock, columns and stairs. The lawns are well maintained, the garden contains many flowers and ornamental plants. Nice place to discover during an outing. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

mariusz
a very strange building. we can identify many traditional elements but the result is strange, unusual. I imagine they remove those palm trees to a protected area during winter..
nice note and photo.
take care
