Photographer's Note
There is no shortage of angelic views in the Dresden old town. This is my first photo presenting a view from the walk around the Zwinger Palace. Several buildings are merged in this scene. A fragment of the actual Zwinger Palace is seen at the left edge of the photo with one of its pavilions with a green roof next to it. The highest tower in the very center, called Haumannsturm, is a part of Residenzschloss (Dresden Castle). The buildings immediate next to the tower are also part of the Residenzschloss. Squeezed in between Residenz and the green pavilion, there is one more tower which belongs to the Dresden Cathedral

I remember Krzysztof once had a whole series of photos about the Zwinger Palace.
It seems clear to me that you can spend a lot of time in Dresden visiting this palace and so many other places in the city.
Here you present us a brilliant architectural photo.
So colourful and full of beautiful and interesting details. There's a lot to see on this photo.
Pretty foreground with the angel.
Clarity and sharpness are faultless.

A great view of the palace and the castle here together behind the elegant statue in the foreground. I may have a similar photo from this summer, although with a somewhat more overcast sky. You had the perfect weather with clear sunlight and a nice blue sky.

Hello Mariusz, a good choice to use the statue of the angel/cherub in the foreground, it really adds to the composition.
Besides the tower of Dresden Castle there are other towers of different styles in your picture.
You had the perfect blue sky, and the sunlight is lovely illuminating all the details.

Nicely combined the statue in the FG with the inner court of the palace.
marvelous architecture and interesting to know that it was re-built stone-by-stone after the WW2 era.

an image of this angle in 1946 would show only ruins.. amazing job of reconstruction. I liked the angle and the use of elements in this beautiful compo.

Mariusz, the sculpture in the fg is amusing. The castle and the cathedral in the bg represent two architectural gems of Dresden. The picture offers many architectural details to observe. The blue sky without clouds forms a splendid background. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.
