Photographer's Note
View across the theatre square to the famous Semper-Pera-House of Dresden. This is indeed the third building to be called Semperoper. The first building dating from 1840 was built by Gottfried Semper. It was destroyed completely by a fire 1869. The second Semperoper was built by his son Manfred Semper in the years 1871-1878. This one was destroyed in WW II in 1945. It was reconstructed 1977-1983. The rider on the monument is King John of Saxony (1801-1873) the building owner of the 2nd building.

Hello, Roland!
Beautiful architecture of this opera-house, and I like the inclusion of the statue on the right, that makes a very nice contrast and also gives depth to the composition! Excellent light and colors! Wonderful job!
