Afternoon in Port-Vendres
The day is over in the small, but busy village of Port-Vendres in South of France. The deep harbour here have made the village a center for trade and commerce in the region.
The mother of pearls clouds add a special mood to the sunset of this day. To the right you can see a small fortifications on top of a mountain. That is Fort St. Elme, designed by Vaubane in mid 1600. Right behind the fort we will find another popular village along the coast: Collioure.
Maybe you also will see the small silhouette of a tower in the upper left. That is the former semaphore station at the peak of Madeloc.

Lovely how you got the light just right here, Jack. Great sky colours, but it's all those lanterns and lamps below that really steal the show for me.

impressive this sunset with the subdued light and with the sun still painting pastoral colors in the clouds makes this a great shot.A sensitive scene with a great clarity and sharpness although the light is too low.Well done.

A magnificent shot captured at the blue hour, excellent view of the village with the harbor, good POV, light and reflection, beautiful sky colors with a nice silhouette of the mountain where we can see the Fort St. Elme. Very well captured.
