Photographer's Note

To start this new travelogue, two static views of a well preserved Douglas C 47 Dakota, the American most famous transport plane of WWII, used for example for the paratroopers assault in Normandy in June 1944 and latter during the ill fated tentative (operation Market Garden) to seize the bridges crossing the Rhine in the Netherlands at little latter.
