Valley of the Vis, in downstream of the hamlet of Navacelles. The bottom of the valley is to 300 m under the level of causses of Blandas on the left and Larzac on the right.
"La Vis" is a small affluent river of Herault, of 30 km length.
It takes its source on the Saint-Guiral mount in the solid mass of Aigoual. It disappears in the ground at Larcy whereas its flow reaches 50 l/s. Approximately 15 km further, it re-appears in Vissec, at the mill of Lafoux with a flow of 1200 to 2500 l/s. Its affluents are in major part underground. "La Vis" then impressed its course of surface dug in the medium of impressive plates limestones called causses. "La Vis" erodes the basement, provocative constantly underground crumblings able to stop its course for hours, even days, as in 1779, 1890, 1927 and 1961.

Hamlet de Navacelles is on the commune of Saint-Maurice-Navacelles which is a commune in departement of Hérault resulting from the fusion of the three communes from Saint-Maurice, Navacelles and Madières. On a surface of 6850 hectares, located at the average altitude of 584 meters, this commune shelters 146 inhabitants.

Hello Joel,
A very good view across this rugged landscape with these deep 'V' shaped valleys receding into the distance. Some nice light and shadow contrasts with good colours and clarity. The image has great depth.

des allures de grand canyon, une photo très bonne sur la plan du POV qui donne de la profondeur.
Un peu de brume, c'est dommage.

Hello,
très beau panorama très bien réalisé, j'aime bien ces parite sombe et éclairée et cette végétations ur les collines, c'es textrordiananre ce qu'uner rivière peut creuser dans la montange.

Hola Joël,
Cuando eres malo, eres buenísimo (malísimo), pero cuando eres bueno, eres mejor....Un dicho muy español para bromear un poco contigo.
Preciosa perspectiva de este valle, al que yo le llamaría cañón por su profundidad y las rocas que lo coronan. Veo en una esquina que está al lado de ese lugar tan bonito que ya pusiste con anterioridad.
Magnífico lugar para echarse a volar.
Excelente POV.

Une vue assez impressionnante sur la vallée et ses plateaux verdoyants nous offrant une bonne profondeur dans l'image avec un jeu d'ombres et de lumières et je trouve que c'est une bonne idée que d'avoir laissé une bande de ciel.

Un paysage fantastique, que tu cadres bien en mettant en valeur ses dimensions et ses vallées escarpées.
Ton choix de cadrage est bon, un minimum de ciel pour profiter des gorges.

Un beau point de vue qui permet une photo profonde et qui porte loin en suivant le zigzag de la vallee, le petit village en bas a droit est bien pour donner l'echelle.
