Photographer's Note
This photo was taken from the beach on the leeward side of Tintamarre looking toward the island of St. Martin. The sailboats bring people to this uninhabited island for day trips of beaching and snorkeling.
Tintamarre is part of the Natural Reserve of Saint Martin where its natural resources are protected by national laws.

Hi Asa!
You show us in nice way that a grey sky can bee nice for photographers.
Good composition with the diagonal of the shore and these ctamarans. The mountans in the distance give a good depth to the image and I like the turquoise color of the water.

In this island the beaches the color of the sea and quality of sand everything looks nearly perfect. looking at your photo and explanation we get the assumption that vacationing at St.Martin is mostly valid for affluent people

Hi Asa
This is very well composed with the graphic corner of sand and sea, each beautiful colours and the good balance between the 3 yachts. The water looks so tempting.

Hi Asa, good capture of this beautiful location. I would clean your sensor as there is spots in lower frame, use healing brush in PP. Your composition I think would have been stronger if you had chosen a lower POV near the surf. Just be careful with sharping as there is a fair amount of jpeg artifacts around the edges. Regards Steve.

Hello Asa,
Perfectly perspective and lovely three parts picture, the moving of the mountains care for a very attractive picture together with the sailboats, very well composition too.
One small advice Asa, try in future your coast line horizontal in background, now the picture tilt little bit to the right.
Thanks for sharing.
Have a nice day,
John.

I like the way you have composed the shoreline on a strong diagonal almost making 2 triangles of the sea and the sand. The perspective has worked well on the 3 boats as they diminish in size towards the horizon. Well done

Hi Asa,
Wow, I like the combination of colour! They are nice and strong and deep and compliment each other very well.A good composition of the boats at different depths and leading you into the image. The skyline is great and I like the angle of the water. Is it a touch tilted to left or is that an illusion of the angle?
Take care.

Hi Asa,
I had to laugh loudly reading the place name, in french tintamarre means something very noisy like people playing drums loud and badly ;-)
Nice compo with the trio of boats, I wonder if you have stretched the histogramm of this picture to its full extend as it seems to me that is is lacking contrast and punch ?
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Beautiful layers of blue sky, turquoise water and golden beach. Nice perspective with the aligned anchored sail boats. I love this kind of scenery, having already sailed in the Caribbean Islands.
Congratulations Asa!

Hello Asa,
I like your photo of the boats in this tropical looking coastline. I just looked this Island up in the world atlas and it is 46 degrees North latitude. I think that I have looked at the world atlas more in the past four months in my Trek Earth experience than I have in the last twenty years total. Your composition is excellent and the contrast is well-contolled due to the diffuse sunlight. Excellent work!

Hello Asa. I like the colours in this fine composition, and the light captured under the fairly dark and threatening sky. The diagonal of the shoreline is very effective, and the white paint of the boats complements very well the clouds and the line of foam where the water meets the sand. A lovely shot of this part of tropical France.

Andrew

Hi Asa,
This is a very attractive picture of this calm and peaceful beach. The colours are what first attracted me, the sand and the water are in fine harmony. The boats are well placed and there is a clear balance here. I would like to be there!

Wonderful contrasting colors with the turquoise sea so bright and warm with the grey sky so cold. The brown hard packed sand beach contrasts so well with the white surf lapping on its surface.

Bonjour Asa,

I think it is not only a grey sky , its colour is not the main point in the picture but its mood and it overflows with dramatism and energy and somehow keeps a complicity with the sea and that΄s why those waters acquire such astonishing colours . Composition is simple but the visual impact as well as attractive has a crushing strength !
Thanks for showing Asa !
