Palavas-les-Flots is a seaside resort located at approximately 6 km with flight of bird in the south of the center of Montpellier, at the edge of the Gulf of Lions and Mediterranean. Its emerged territory is composed of dune cords separating two ponds and the sea. The principal agglomeration is with the outlet of the channel which connects the coastal river Lez to the sea. It is one of the principal seaside resorts attended by Montpellirains and Hraultais of the back-country. The water tower, high of 45 m, whose concrete trunk was transformed, became the "Headlight of the Mediterranean". It has accomodated for a few years the palate of the congresses and all in turning top a panoramic restaurant.
