Moved away from Montpellier and Nimes of 30Km, the Grau-of-King is the only maritime outlet of Gard. The city is batie along a grau. It is the local name of a channel connecting the littoral ponds to the sea. The activity of fishing gradually decreased since half of the 20th century to the profit of the tourist activity. It was developpι a seaside resort, and a marina known under the name of the Port-Camargue. One finds there also an aquarium important.

Hi Joel,
Nice image. I would probably have chosen to have a little more water and less sky but that is just my opinion. The quality of the image is great and I love the reflections. Nice architecture in the corner building.

Hello Joel,
Nice photo you bring here, what i like most is the sharpness and colors.
However i have to agree with deblink about the choice on the composition because, the sky is just blue and doesn΄t have much to see in comparison with the water refexes.

Bonsoir,
Une photo tres nette et bien cadrιe du port du Grau du roi. Les bateaux semblent paisiblement amarrιs dans l'attente d'une sortie en mer.La prιsence du camion est dommage mais passe inaperηu avec sa couleur blanche.

un coin de la cτte Languedocienne que je ne connais pas et une image qui me donne envie d'y faire un saut un de ces jours de printemps avant le tsunami touristique estival.

Une trθs belle vue sur ce quai pittoresque. La lumiθre est belle et gιnθre d'agrιables couleurs mais tu auris du essayer de dissimuler la camionette et de diminuer l'importance du ciel.

Hello Joel. Some absolutely marvellous shots of France in your gallery. I love this one for its light and shade and slightly under-exposed colour. Beautiful composition, making this place seem very inviting, one that I would like to visit some time. My only suggestion would be to straighten the shot so that the light-house on the left is absolutely vertical instead of leaning to the right. Maybe the whole picture needs a slight rotation. But that is not so important as the image is luminous and the water's wavelets look marvellous - maybe the tide was coming in. Excellent shot.

Bonjour Joλl,

Les rιflexions dans l'eau sont des atouts ΰ la composition. Les palmiers cadrent bien les bateaux et la rue. La prise de vue permet de voir les dιtails et les couleurs de l,architecture des diffιrents immeubles. Le ciel bleu envoie une lumiθre qui fait ressortir les couleurs du paysage. Bonne journιe.
