Place de la Concorde
Photo prise depuis le trottoir bordant le jardin des Tuileries. A gauche, loblisque de Louxor, vieux de 3 300 ans, arriv en France en 1836 et mis en place ici par le roi Louis-Philippe. En arrire plan, on aperoit lhtel de Crillon, un des plus clbre palace parisien. Dans la rue Royale, derrire le feu tricolore, le fameux restaurant Maxims. Cette place, baptise dabord place de la Rvolution fut le thtre de nombreuses excutions publiques la guillotine. Lendroit est beaucoup moins dangereux ce jour

Place de la Concorde
Photo catch from the pavement bordering the Tuileries garden. On the left side, the Louxor obelisk, 3 300 year old, arrived in France on 1836 and set up here by the king Louis-Philippe. On the background, you can see the Crillon hotel, one of the most famous Parisian de luxe hotel. In the Royal street, behind tricolour light, there is the famous Maxim's restaurant. This place, baptized initially place of the Revolution was the theatre of many public executions with the guillotine. The place is much less dangerous now...
