Photographer's Note
This is my contribution to a theme i found nice : TE members at work (greg64q);
I choosed my POV from above. It shows what we call here "the polygone scientifique". Between the rivers Drac (background) and Isθre (foreground) it is an ancient artillery practice field.
From this useful place, many activities started to grow up around nuke reactor (closed now) and ΅-electronic's.
Today there is 3 Europeans instruments : ILL (neutronic source), ESRF (Synchrotron source) (circle building), and the EMBL (molecular biology). In addition there is 2 french public research organizations : CEA, CNRS.
ST microιlectronics and Schneider electrics have a research plant too. I forget an engineer school : l'INPG.
Now an another complex (pτle) rise from ground : minatec to study micro&nano technology.

Trθs belle photo que ce panorama bien net. J'aiem bien la riviθre qui serppente au milieu de la ville, on peut la suivre juqu'au fon de la photo, bien vu.

Trθs belle vue de Grenoble, on comprend mieux en voyant cet encaissement les problθmes de pollution dont souffre Grenoble l'ιtι... Par contre, quelle chance de vivre ΰ cτtι de si belles montagnes. J'aime beaucoup la composition avec les deux riviθres.
Par contre j'ai l'impression que la photo est trθs compressιe, la ligne du sommet des montagnes me semblant un peu pixelisιe. Tu utilises les 200ko permis?

En tant que natif de la ville, je ne pouvais laisser passer celle-ci.
Le POV est bon, probablement depuis la Bastille.
La photo situe bien Grenoble dans son environnement technologique et montagneux, bravo.

A beautiful place to work, Jean-Guy! Perhaps pleasant surroundings are conducive to scientific and technological achievement--if so, these researchers will be leading the world. I like the way you composed this so that the river makes a pleasant curve. If the sun angle were even lower, it might look even better, but the light is certainly pretty good as it is. Regards, Ken.

What an amazing view over grenoble! You have good light and color and i like the haze in the distance. But i am afraid that you have oversharpened it a bit.
