Photographer's Note
As the ghastly weather here continues, I’m doing my best to keep posting some sunnier shots! Here is a view that I enjoyed last Sunday during my visit to the wonderful region of Languedoc…
This is the “ghost town” of Celles, situated on the shores of the Lac du Salagou. The town was expropriated in the 1970s due to the creation of the lake, though in fact the water level did not rise to the expected level and the town was spared. At present there are two families living in the town while the surrounding buildings remain fenced off.
I might have tried to include all of the boat but there was someone sitting next to it, well installed in a deck chair so I settled for this view. The intense, saturated colours are due to the bright sunshine and I did not do any PP to enhance them.

Nicely rendered beautiful scene. Good use of teh boat, which the crop works well for, concentrating our attention on the lake.

Hi Susanna.
This is a nice shot of one of my favourite places in Montpellier area. The lake of Salagou and its surroundings are really beautiful, especially due to the color contrasts between the vegetation, the blue sky and the special red rocks (pelites) that are found there. I spent a lot of time making picture ther !

Je vois pris a 10mm mais on sent pas trop le grand angle ici, tu as croppe ? Sinon c'est une belle vue ensoleillee, de jolies couleurs et si j'etais toi je n'irais pas sur le lac avec ce bateau, tu sais que notre 350D n'est ni tropicalise ni etanche ;-)

Hi Susanna
It seems that many Trek Earthiens escaped to the south of France last weekend. Was the traffic OK returning home ? We avoided this by travelling on the Friday and Saturday.
I like your compo and pov of this ruined boat (very dynamic just having part of it). The red of it and the strange sand contrast well against the vegetation. Lots of depth with the building at the back. I could do with a sky like that here. It's too cold and grey, gla gla gla.

C'ιtait bien ce week-end au soleil, hein? ;o)
J'aime bien la profondeur dans cette image et ηa n'est pas du tout dιrangeant de n'avoir qu'une partie de la barque dans l'image. Les couleurs sont belles et on sent en regardant la photo qu'il faisait assez chaud.
Je te souhaite une bonne journιe et j'espθre qu'on pourra faire connaissance la semaine prochaine.

Encore une excellente compo avec ce bateau en avant plan bien cadrι. Seul reproche : Tu aurais du rιparer et repeint ce bateau avant de faire la photo :-)

on voit bien le travail du polarisant ici.
Un ciel trθs foncι et des couleurs renforcιes.
Le reste : un cadrage bien balancι et une photo qui me transmet une impression de grande tranquilitι et de chaleur.

This is a wonderful shot Susanna, I love the composition with the boat in the lower right corner pointing inwards and the vibrant colours make it stand out.
