I am impressed with the crop and view point on how we are directed thru the verticals to the colourful backdrop of the charming half-timber houses. Lovely feel of depth too and speck of vivid colours are great add on to click the eyes, the lighting is pleasant and exposure control is seamless. A lovely insight of this historic place seen thru your eye. Congrats

You are fortunate to live in such a beautiful city and this small street in the centre of Auxerre is stunningly beautiful.

You have composed this photograph extremely well, using the vertical lines of the timbers of these old houses to give a wonderfully graphic effect, yet also taken it close enough to allow us to see the details, colours and textures of the ancient woodwork and walls wonderfully well.

Lovely soft light and colours, perfect exposure and stunning details and sharpness.

The detailed shot of the half-timbered houses displays excellent composition, brilliant colors and textures, and razor sharpness. I was not familiar with Auxerre until I saw this photo, but it is enough to inspire a visit.

Hello JJ,

Good sharpness and a nice warm cold color contrast between the yellow half timbers at right and the blue grey ones at left. Nice repetition of vertical lines. The red flowers enhance the warm cold color contrast and add a vibrant splash of color. Tfs.
