At the opposite of the previous picture , a view of the carousel.
Cold temperature at -3° C the place was almost empty because the wind was very strong

In the middle of the square we can see the statue of Joan of Arc sculpted by Denis Foyatier in 1855

Une image magnifique de l'heure bleue avec le carrousel illuminι. L'ιtal de nourriture fournit le plus fort contraste avec le ciel bleu.
Une trθs belle architecture en arriθre-plan.

yes, it looks very cold but the kids apparently do not think it is to cold for a ride at the carousel:)Nice blue hour shot with a nice illumination from the carousel and the kiosk. The bank building to the right have a beautiful design, well done!

Merveilleuse photo prise ΰ l'heure bleuet belle ambiance. Le carrousel est magnifique couronnι de coeurs. Belle architecture des ιdifices en arriθre-plan. Les couleurs sont spectaculaires avec quelques reflets sur le pavι.

Bonsoir Didi,
a very lovely evening view of the illuminated carousel and the kiosk. Your composition is well balanced and delightful, the empty foreground is inviting and the background buildings are interesting but stand there discreetly without distracting at all. There's fine definition on the main focal points, their lights are attractive and cast a nice warmth in the square around them. The human presence is very agreeable too. L'ιtendue de la place donne de la profondeur ΰ la composition. L'utilisation d'un ISO de 2500 permet de voir les dιtails et les couleurs du carrousel et du kiosque. Cela a aussi un effet spιcial sur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirιe.

Bonjour Didi,

The cold temperatures may have kept the crowds away, but it couldn't stop the photographer! :) Thanks for braving the frigid air to bring us this fun and happy little attraction, which so many of us have enjoyed ourselves at one point or another. Brings back memories of childhood and what a lovely place, i just love the old fashion fairground carousel. Glad you have retained the detail superbly, it's vibrant and vivid in colours and great timing too, seeing this makes me think of the scene in Mary Poppins where the horses take the children on an adventure. Hello Didi, Nice view of this renovated place in your town. I find it strange that there are so often nice carousels in French towns, sometimes also in England or Italy. And none in Poland. Beautiful blue hour shot. In this cold evening not many people are walking there.

le giostre con i cavalli che una volta erano relegate nelle polverose piazze di periferia ormai hanno conquistato i centri storici e capita di tanto in tanto di vederne qualcuna.
Hanno sempre il fascino del ricordo e ci aiutano a tornare bambini.
Inoltre arricchiscono con la loro presenza il luogo nel quale si trovano ancor piω quando scende la sera e i loro colori si stagliano nell'oscuritΰ.
Da rimarcare in questa tua foto l'ottima gestione della luce sia per i colori che per il giusto dosaggio.

The exposure is perfect for this very well presented night time composition. The lines of stones coming in from the bottom right make a good pointer toward the little group braving the cold by the merry-go-round.

An attractive Blue Hour, with good colours and composition. The image seems to lack a little sharpness, probably due to the shallow depth of field and having no tripod. Anyway, a good shot.

Hi Didi,

Perhaps not the easiest blue hour shot to take and I note that the shutter speed was 1/250. This was very because now the people are sharp and clearly visible. With long exposures they could easily be turned into ghosts or vanish completely. TFS and have a nice weekend!

Une bien belle photo avec une atmosphθre trθs agrιable. Joli carrousel plaisamment illuminι. Le couple avec la poussette est bien placι et les clients au kiosque ajoutent un peu de vie. Lumiθre bien gιrιe ιvidemment. Si on s'arrκte aux petits dιtails, on peut penser que ηa aurait pu κtre cadrι un poil plus ΰ droite pour laisser un peu plus d'espace derriθre le kiosque et ιviter les lumiθres rιflιchies distrayantes sur la vitre de la porte, ou peut-κtre y avait-il un ιlιment gκnant ΰ ιviter derriθre le kiosque?

very nice night shot during the blue hour.I like the well lighted carousel with the few visitors to smooth over the low temperature to enjoy it.Excellent the light and the colour managemet as te beautiful snapshot.

Quelle temperature, elle a ses adventags, de faire ιchapper des gents et ainsi obtenir une square presque vide avec le toujours colore sujet du carusel et kiosk

Le tout en contraste frappant avec le bleu ciel
l y a ausi qq s touches de couleur blancheatre ( faciles a suprimer) au droit, donnes par faroles et panneau d advertisement (ma critique)

Congrats for the capture, enfin! d Jeanne d Arc ( la statue, bien sur)

Interesting to see the same style of carousel as I saw near the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Good blue hour shot with impeccable sharpness and nice warm cold colour contrasts between the yellow red illumination and the blue. Tfs!

Magnificent lights of the carousel, over a suqare just entered the dusk. People are out inspite the cold temp.'s, which is a small hardship if the kids want to enjoy a ride on.
I looked around, and the architecture also interesting objects on this photo.

Hello Didi,

It is a very beautiful night photo of the plaza. The carousel adds cheerful mood to the image with the colorful light. I can imagine this would be a very busy place in the summer night. But for now it seem quiet because of the cold night.

This is great, the atmosphere here created by the brightly lit fairground attractions, while at the same time there being so few people is magical. The gold lights are complimented beautifully by the dark blue hour sky, and to have this fine architecture too is just a real treat to view. Thanks for sharing this special moment you captured.
