Hello Nobu-san,
What a lovely capture to end off the year!
From the right, the green obelisk is perfectly placed in the photo to hold us in and guide us back to the statue. From the left, the pink hues of the sky nicely compliment the greens and the clouds are gently embracing the statue as she looks off into the distance. Does she see tomorrow? Can she tell us something about the year to come? She is both regal and reflective and she has probably seen more about life than most of us. I wish she could tell us something. The motion blur on the ladies below makes a perfect contrast to the statue. The people are ephemeral, but she is not. Your image invites us to stop for a moment and look at our lives in the most profound way. The timing could not be better as we begin a new year. Thank you for this gift of reflection. It is quite brilliant.
I thank you for this image and all the images you have shared with us in 2011. I look forward to the beautiful images you shall share with us in 2012.
I wish you all good things in this coming year, Nobu.
Thanks again for sharing your artistry with us as it enriches our lives.
Leonardo da Vinci said, "Art is the Queen of all sciences, communicating knowledge to all the generations of the world." Thanks for participating in da Vinci's grand and noble plan.
Peace,
Yana-san

Hello Nobu,
The statue is looking into a direction that yet remains unknown for us. Perhaps it catches already a glimpse of what is going to come in the near future. Let's hope a future better for everyone.
I wish you all the best for a wonderful 2012,
Paul

Hello Nobu,
This is a lovely shot showing this statue of the lady sitting majestically on this pedestal. The part of the green obelisk is nicely placed on the right. The image is lively with people walking around the statue.
Have a great new year.

Dear Nobu-san,
I find the composition a little strange because, in my humble opinion, from this POV it would be very difficult to find a 200% perfect balance, but I hope I see your idea to show us a wide panoramic view from this particular point of view: part of a huge monument, a smaller sculpture and a view of a row of houses and crowds of people... looks like an "essence" of life! besides, this an interesting "triangular" composition - all these objects form a diagonal line going across the picture.
It's difficult for me to judge about the true colours of this photo because I am using not a very good laptop, and the screen shows pictures with a bluish tint, but I bet the sky had wonderful colours at that moment!
warm greetings from Stockholm where the Sun is about to set, and soon we will be devoured by complete darkness of a Northern night :)
My warmest wishes of Happy New Year to you and all those people who are dear to you!

Yana's lovely comment really says it all. We are looking toward the east and all good things come from the east! (or many of them, anyway...) The bright light clouds and the lady poised in anticipation...
Happy New Year to you, Nobu, and thank you for sharing so many wonderful insights into life...for that is what your photos convey!

Hello Nobu,
this is a different composition, I like the idea, I think it is a original way to show this statue, I think the light is a little overexposed, it's difficult to managed this light conditions,
Happy 2012!!

Hello Nobu,
Your picture is lovely, but a little cautious with your high lights, this gives a little to much yellow color.
A splendid cityscape picture.
Composition and presentation are pleasant.
Thank you very much for your visit to my pictures during 2011.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Caro Nobuccio-san
What a beautiful dedication and an equally beautiful photo. I hope that 2012 brings you everything you wish for. I really like the perspective, with the obelisk in front on the right and the statue on the left. The green and yellowish hues give this photo a dreamlike quality. Nice shot, have a lovely evening.
Thanks for sharing, Nobuccio-san
